Are You ELIGIBLE To Receive These Services?

The following criteria is used to determine if you may be eligible to receive home health care under your Medicare benefits:

You must require intermittent skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupationsl therapy or speech therapy.

You must be currently under a physician's care. All home health services must be ordered by your physician.

You are considered homebound if you are confined to your home due to illness or injury. It is not mandatory that you are bedridden, but leaving your residence must require considerable and taxing effort and the need for supportive devices such as a cane, wheelchair, or the help of another person. Absences from the home, other than to receive medical treatment, should be infrequent, irregular, and of short duration.
